Scrub and wash each baking potato and pat dry with some kitchen roll. Pierce with a fork and add a little oil on the skin, rubbing it all over. Season with salt if required.
Place in the air fryer basket and cook at 200°C/400°F for 40 minutes. Check on it half way through and turn the potato over. If the potato skin is crisping up too wrap it in some foil.
Check the potato is cooked through by piercing it with a fork - it should be soft on the inside.
When the potato is ready, slice it in half and top with your favourite jacket potato fillings.
