Bread Maker Hot Cross Bun Loaf
This hot cross bun-inspired loaf is a sweet, spiced bread packed with dried fruit and orange zest, all made easily in the bread maker.

strong white bread flour

dried fruit
e.g., raisins, currants, sultanas
Instructions
Add the flour, butter, sugar, salt, cinnamon, mixed spice, orange zest, and water to the bread maker pan.
Add the yeast to the yeast dispenser, or place it on top of the flour, ensuring it doesn’t touch the liquid.
Add the dried fruit to the fruit dispenser, or wait for the machine to beep before adding it manually.
Select the sweet bread setting (usually Menu 3), choose the XL loaf size and your preferred crust colour.
Start the machine and allow it to run through the full cycle.
Once the loaf is baked, carefully remove it from the bread pan and place it on a wire rack to cool.
(Optional) Gently heat the apricot jam or golden syrup until runny, then brush it over the warm loaf for a shiny glaze.
