150gbreadcrumbs – either shop-bought or homemade breadcrumbs.

1tsppaprikagarlic powder or cayenne pepper (optional flavouring for the breadcrumbs)
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 200C/180C Fan/Gas Mark 6.
Cut up the chicken into bite-sized pieces.
Set up the breading station by adding the flour to the first bowl, the beaten egg to the second bowl and the breadcrumbs to the third bowl. Optionally stir in 1 tsp of dried spices or herbs to the breadcrumbs.
Roll the chicken in the flour until it is covered, then dip it in the beaten egg, followed by rolling each piece through the breadcrumbs until they are covered.
Place each chicken nugget on a lined baking tray, making sure there is enough space between each one.
Put the tray in the preheated oven for 10 to 15 minutes, turning halfway, until the breadcrumbs have turned golden and the chicken is cooked all the way through.
