1red onioncut into chunks
1courgettecut into thick slices
2tbspolive oil*
2tbsphoney*
1tspdried chilli flakes*
1tbspsoy sauce*
1tbsplime juice*
freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
If you are making your own sweet chilli sauce, mix the olive oil, honey, dried chilli flakes, soy sauce, lime juice, and a pinch of black pepper.
Thread the halloumi, red bell pepper, yellow bell pepper, red onion, and courgette alternately onto the skewers.
Brush the sweet chilli sauce generously over the halloumi and vegetable skewers, ensuring all pieces are well coated. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes to absorb the flavours.
Place the skewers in the air fryer basket in a single layer. You might need to cook them in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
Air fry the kebabs at 200°C for 10-12 minutes, turning them halfway through the cooking time, until the vegetables are tender and the halloumi is golden and crispy.
Once cooked, remove the kebabs from the air fryer and let them cool for a minute.
Serve the halloumi kebabs hot, garnished with a sprinkle of extra dried chilli flakes or fresh herbs if desired.
Notes
*You can use premade sweet chilli sauce instead of making your own.
