There's no need to put the oven on - cook these Halloween cupcakes in the air fryer!

Ingredients
125gcaster sugar
125gbuttersoftened (or margarine)
125gself-raising flour
2large eggs
1tspvanilla essence

Instructions
Cream the butter and sugar together in a bowl.
Stir in the beaten eggs and vanilla extract.
Sift in the self-raising flour and mix until just combined. Take care not to overmix.
Transfer the mixture into cupcake cases, filling them halfway. You may need to place cupcake cases in individual metal tins to help them hold their shape (see above for details of what tins I used).
Place cupcake cases in the air fryer basket.
Set the air fryer off at 160°C and air fry for 12 minutes.
Check the cupcakes are ready. They will be golden brown on top and slightly springy to the touch. If you insert a metal skewer into one of them, it will come out clean.
Leave the cupcakes to cool before decorating them.
