Hoisin Salmon Bites are quick, flavour-packed, and incredibly easy to make in the air fryer. Tender chunks of salmon are coated in a sweet, savoury and slightly spicy hoisin glaze, then cooked until beautifully on the outside and juicy in the middle. Perfect for a speedy midweek dinner, a high-protein lunch, or serving up as part of a sharing platter.

Ingredients
4salmon filletscut into bite-size pieces
3tbsphoisin sauce
1tbspsoy sauceor light soy
1tbsphoney
1tspfresh gingergrated (or ½ tsp ground ginger)
1tspsrirachamore or less to taste
1tspsesame oiloptional
Instructions
Add the hoisin sauce, soy sauce, honey, ginger, sriracha and sesame oil to a bowl and mix well to combine.
Add the salmon pieces and gently toss until they are evenly coated in the sauce. Optionally reserve some of the sauce to add at the end.
Arrange the salmon bites in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving a little space between each piece. Cook for 8 to 10 minutes at 180°C, turning once if needed. Check they are cooked through, if not, return to the air fryer for a further 2 minutes.
Spoon over any remaining sauce from the bowl and serve straight away.
Notes
Removing the skin is optional, I prefer to leave the skin on as it crisps up nicely in the air fryer.
Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket. Cook in batches if needed for the best caramelisation.
For a milder version, reduce or omit the sriracha.
These salmon bites are delicious served with rice, noodles, in wraps, or as part of a bowl with crunchy salad.
Best enjoyed fresh, but leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 days and reheated in the air fryer.
