Ingredients
1 to 2tbspvegetable or sunflower oil
6chipolatas
120gplain flour
180mlsemi skimmed milk
2eggs
Pinchsalt and pepper
Instructions
Preheat your air fryer to 200°C.
Add the oil to a 20 cm baking tin and place it in the air fryer basket. Air fry for 3 minutes to heat the oil.
Carefully add the sausages to the baking tin and air fry for about 5 minutes until they begin to slightly brown.
While the sausages are browning, prepare the batter. Add the flour, milk, eggs and seasonings to a bowl and whisk until smooth and lump-free. Use an electric whisker if you have one.
When the sausages have browned enough, pour the batter over them. Try to do this step as quickly as possible to prevent too much heat from escaping.
Air fry for a further 12 minutes. The toad in the hole should be golden brown, and the batter should have risen above the sausages.
