Ingredients
4tomatoesfresh on the vine
1tbspolive oil
1tspdried mixed herbs
Salt and black pepper to taste
Fresh chopped basil leavesoptional garnish
Instructions
Wash the tomatoes and pat them dry. Slice the tomatoes in half or quarters.
Lightly brush the cut sides of the tomatoes with olive oil, then season with salt and pepper to your taste.
Arrange the tomatoes in the air fryer basket, cut side up, making sure not to overcrowd them. You may have to cook in batches if your air fryer isn't large enough to fit all the tomatoes at once.
Air fry the tomatoes at 200°C (400°F) for about 10 to 15 minutes, or until they are soft, slightly wrinkled and beginning to char around the edges.
Once done, carefully remove the tomatoes from the air fryer using tongs or a spatula.
Optionally garnish with fresh basil leaves. Serve the air fried tomatoes warm as a side dish, or enjoy them on toast for a quick and healthy snack.
