Add all the ingredients to your soup maker. Optionally reserve some asparagus tips for garnish. You can fry them in a little butter and garlic while the soup is cooking.
Set off on smooth.
Serve and season according to taste.

Making Cream of Asparagus Soup
Once the soup make cycle has finished, stir in some cream (single or double), or yoghurt or creme fraiche.
Garnishing With Asparagus Tips
You can set aside some of the asparagus tips to garnish the soup with. Just gently saute them in a little oil or butter with some crushed garlic.
