Ingredients
80gcaster sugar
120gbuttersoftened
2medium eggsbeaten
200gself raising flour
1tspbaking powder
3ripe bananas
150gchocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 180C/Gas Mark 4.
Mix together the sugar and softened butter in a large bowl until they are well creamed together.
Gradually add in the beaten eggs.
Next, add the flour and baking powder and mix it together.
In a separate bowl mash the bananas, use either a fork or a potato masher.
Add both the mashed banana and chocolate chips to the large mixing bowl and gently stir through.
Transfer the mixture to a greased loaf or cake tin.
Place in the hot oven and cook for 45 minutes. Check on it at 30 minutes to check that it isn't browning up too quickly. If it is, loosely cover it with some foil.
