Ingredients
1French stick
100gbutter
4clovesgarliccrushed
50gParmesan cheesegrated (optional)
Bunch of parsleyoptional

Instructions
Preheat oven to 200C/180C fan/gas 6.
In a bowl add butter, mashed garlic, grated parmesan cheese (if using), parsley or any other fresh herbs, black pepper to taste, and mix well using a spoon or a spatula.
Slice the French stick into equal slices. To cook the garlic bread as one baguette, don't slice all the way down, keep them attached.
Spread the butter mixture over each slice.
Lay the bread slices on a baking tray and cook for 8 to 10 minutes, or until crispy. If you are cooking the garlic bread whole, wrap it in some foil and cook for 15 minutes, or until crispy.
