Granola Recipe - How To Make Granola At Home

Ingredients

oats

nuts and seeds

dried fruit

honey or maple syrup*

vegetable or coconut oil

Instructions
Preheat the oven to 150C/fan 130C/Gas Mark 2.
Mix the oats, nuts and seeds together in a large bowl.
Melt the butter and stir in the oil and honey/maple syrup.
Pour the melted butter and oil over the oats, nuts and seeds and combine them together.
Transfer the mixture onto a baking tray and spread out. Place in the oven and bake for 30 to 40 minutes, shaking about every 10 minutes.
Once the oats are crunchy and golden, remove them from the oven.
Leave to cool.
Transfer back to the large bowl and mix in your choice of dried fruit and any other extras such as dark chocolate chips and coconut flakes.
Store in an airtight container for up to 1 month at room temperature, out of direct sunlight.
Notes
*you can also use brown sugar instead of honey or maple syrup. Melt the butter in a pan and stir the sugar in until it dissolves.
