80gsplit red lentils
400mlwater
Instructions
Rinse the lentils in a sieve under cold water.
Place the lentils in a saucepan and pour the water over the them.
Bring to the boil over a high heat (approx 10 minutes).
Once boiled, reduce the heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
Notes
Use this method as a base for incorporating red lentils in any of your recipes. As long as the red lentils can have around 25 minutes of cooking time, in a sufficient amount of water, it will result in cooked red lentils.
