2-3medium sweet potatoesapprox. 600g, washed and chopped
1onionchopped
2clovesgarlicchopped or crushed
2tspjerk seasoning
1red chilli*sliced
1vegetable stock pot or cube + water up to the line of the soup maker
Instructions
Add all the ingredients to the soup maker. I like to add the stock pot or cube directly to the soup maker jug and then add hot water up to the MAX line (you can also use cold water).
Put the lid on the soup maker and set it off on smooth.
At the end of the soup maker cycle, season with salt and pepper according to taste.
Optionally sprinkle with some dried chilli flakes for some extra heat.
Notes
*depending on the type of chillies you use this soup could end up being too hot for you. If you prefer a milder tasting one you can leave the chilli out of the soup.
