Add all the ingredients to the soup maker jug apart from the cream.
Add water up to the line and stir to combine.
Set the soup maker off on smooth.
At the end of the soup maker cycle stir in the cream (if using).
Season according to taste.
Notes
MushroomsI used 350g of mushrooms; you can use more for a thicker soup - you can probably fit up to about 500g of mushrooms in, depending on the size of your soup maker.
