Ingredients
12chipolata sausages
12rashers of streaky bacon
Instructions
Preheat the oven to Gas Mark 6, 200°C, fan 180°C.
Wrap a rasher of streaky bacon around each sausage. If you are using smaller sausages (eg. cocktail sausages) you will need to slice the bacon in half. If necessary hold in place with a cocktail stick. Place each wrapped sausage on a lined baking tray.
Once all the sausages are ready place the baking tray in the preheated oven and cook for around 30 minutes, until the sausages are golden brown in colour and the bacon is crispy.
If you want to add some extra flavours, whilst the pigs in blankets are cooking, heat up 2tbsp honey and 1tbsp of mustard. Sprinkle some herbs in (either chopped fresh Rosemary or some dried herbs). Brush this over the pigs in blankets about 5 minutes before the end of the cooking time.
