This tasty green smoothie includes pineapple, cucumber, avocado and spinach – as well as a few optional extras to give it a tasty twist.

Ingredients

chunk of cucumber
chopped
1/2
medium avocado

slice pineapple
peeled and chopped

handful spinach
1
small apple
core removed, chopped
Juice of 1 lime
200
ml
coconut water

tablespoon
of protein powder
optional
Ice
optional, depending on whether you are using frozen ingredients
Instructions
Prepare the ingredients. Scoop the flesh out of the avocado if you are not using frozen - it must be ripe.
Add everything to the blender jug or cup.
Switch the blender on and blend for 30 to 45 seconds or until smooth. Add more liquid at the end if necessary.
Serve and enjoy!
Notes
Use frozen ingredients if you prefer.
Protein powder is optional.
