Ingredients

egg

vinegar
Water
Salt and pepper to season
Instructions
Fill a saucepan with water and add the vinegar. Bring to the boil and then reduce to a simmer.
Crack the egg in a ramekin dish, mug, or small bowl.
Bring it close to the water and gently slide it in.
Leave it to cook for 2 minutes. If you prefer a firmer yolk, leave it in for 3 minutes.
Remove from the water with a slotted spoon, allowing any excess water to drain off.
Pat the egg dry with some kitchen paper.
Notes
You can try cooking more than one egg at the same time but be careful to prevent the eggs from touching each other.
