Pork steaks are the ideal cut of meat to cook in a slow cooker. When cooked on low and for a long length of time, the tough parts of the pork steak are broken down, making it really soft and tender.

Ingredients
4 to 6pork shoulder steaks
1tbspsoy sauce
2tbspmaple syrup
3tbsptomato ketchup
2clovesgarlic
1red onion
Instructions
Mix the 1 tbsp soy sauce, 2 tbsp maple syrup and 3 tbsp tomato ketchup in a jug.
Add some salt to the pork steaks and lay them in the slow cooker.
Sprinkle the chopped onions and crushed garlic over them, then pour the sauce over the top and gently stir everything around so that the steaks are covered.
Place the lid on the slow cooker and set off on low for 6 to 8 hours.
Serve with your favourite sides, we enjoy ours with some mashed potatoes and green vegetables.
