Sweet Potato and Bacon Soup (In A Soup Maker)
This sweet potato and bacon soup combines sweet potatoes, garlic, bacon and smoked paprika to create a beautiful balance of flavours.

Ingredients

onion

garlic

sweet potatoes

bacon lardons

smoked paprika

vegetable stock pot/cube
Salt and pepper
optional to taste
Instructions
Prepare the ingredients by washing and chopping the sweet potatoes; there is no need to peel the skin. Chop the onions and garlic.
Add everything to the soup maker, including the vegetable stock pot.
Add water up to the line (I use hot water).
Set the soup maker off on smooth.
While the soup maker is cooking, you can optionally fry some bacon lardons to add as a soup topping.
When the soup is ready, optionally add some salt and pepper to season according to taste.
Notes
If you don't have any bacon lardons you can chop up some bacon rashers.
