Tomato & Basil Soup
Enjoy this easy to make tomato and basil soup in a soup maker! Add your ingredients and in less than 30 minutes you'll be enjoying a tasty tomato and basil soup.

Ingredients
- 3 shallots chopped (or use 1 onion)
- 4 cloves garlic crushed
- 5 medium tomatoes chopped
- 1 medium potato chopped
- 1 large carrot chopped
- 8 basil leaves
- 1 vegetable stock pot or cube
- 2 basil leaves chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the ingredients. There is no need to peel the tomatoes, potato or carrot.
- Add all the ingredients (except the basil) to your soup maker. Stir ingredients together.
- Top up to the MAX line with hot water (you can use cold if you prefer).
- Put the lid on and select the smooth setting.
- Once the program has finished, carefully take the lid off and add the basil leaves. Blend on the manual setting for about 15 to 20 seconds.
- Season according to taste and optionally garnish with some chopped basil.
