A refreshing and healthy frozen treat made with yoghurt, berries, and a crunchy sprinkle of granola.
When the weather’s warm and you’re craving something sweet and cooling — but still on the healthier side — this frozen yoghurt bark is the perfect answer. It’s ridiculously easy to make, great for both kids and adults, and can be totally customised with your favourite toppings.

Whether you’re making it as a snack, a light dessert, or even a grab-and-go breakfast bite, it only takes a few minutes to prep — then your freezer does the rest!
What You Need
💡 For the full recipe with measurements, scroll to the bottom of the post.

Greek Yoghurt
Use full-fat or low-fat Greek yoghurt, or any thick yoghurt you like. It needs to hold its shape a little when frozen, so avoid runny yoghurts. You’ll need about 400g for one tray.
Honey or Maple Syrup (Optional)
Totally optional — if your yoghurt isn’t very sweet or you prefer a little extra sweetness, add 1–2 tablespoons of honey or maple syrup.
Mixed Berries
Frozen or fresh both work well. Strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, or even chopped cherries or mango will all taste amazing.
Granola
This adds a lovely crunch and makes it feel like a proper treat. Just a few spoonfuls scattered over the top goes a long way.
Cinnamon
I sprinkled a couple of pinches of ground cinnamon across the yoghurt bark.
How to Make Frozen Yoghurt Bark
One of the best things about frozen yoghurt bark is how easy it is to throw together — and once you’ve made it once, you’ll probably end up keeping a stash in the freezer all summer long.
First things first you’ll need a small baking tray (one that fits in your freezer!) and a sheet of baking paper to stop the yoghurt from sticking. Once it’s frozen, the bark just lifts right off the paper — no faffing around.

Step 1: Mix your yoghurt
Grab a bowl and scoop in your Greek yoghurt (or whatever thick yoghurt you’re using). If you like a touch of sweetness, add a spoon or two of honey or maple syrup and give it a good stir. If you are not using any sweetener you can skip this step and pour the yoghurt directly onto the lined tray as explained in step 2.

Step 2: Spread it out
Pour the yoghurt onto your lined tray and spread it out with the back of a spoon. You want it to be roughly 1cm thick — kind of like icing a cake, but way easier and less precise. Don’t worry if it’s not perfectly smooth!
Step 3: Add the toppings

Now for the toppings — scatter over your berries (fresh or frozen both work) and sprinkle on the granola. Try to spread everything out evenly so every bite gets a mix of creamy, crunchy, and fruity.
Optionally add a drizzle of peanut butter, a few chocolate chips, or some chopped nuts for a bit of extra texture and flavour.

Step 4: Freeze
Pop the whole tray into the freezer and forget about it for a few hours. It needs around 3–4 hours to fully set, but you can leave it overnight if it’s easier. Just make sure it’s on a flat surface so it freezes evenly.

Step 5: Break and store
Once it’s frozen solid, lift it out of the tray using the edges of the baking paper, then snap it into pieces, or for more uniform pieces, use a sharp knife to cut it up into squares or rectangles. Pop the pieces into a container or freezer bag and keep them in the freezer for a quick snack any time.

Recipe Tips & Variations
- Make it extra fun: Swirl in a little peanut butter or chocolate spread before freezing.
- Add nuts or seeds for extra crunch and nutrition — chopped pistachios, sunflower seeds, or almonds all work brilliantly.
- Use dairy-free yoghurt if you’re keeping it vegan or lactose-free.
- Mini versions: Spoon into silicone moulds instead of a tray for fun-shaped bark or frozen bites.

Ingredients
- 400 g Greek yoghurt or any thick yoghurt
- 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup optional, to sweeten
- 100 g mixed berries e.g. strawberries, blueberries, raspberries
- 2 tbsp granola
Instructions
- Line a small baking tray with baking paper — this will make it easy to lift the bark out once frozen.
- In a bowl, stir together the yoghurt and honey or maple syrup, if using.
- Pour the yoghurt mixture onto the lined tray and spread it out evenly to about 1cm thick.
- Scatter the berries and granola evenly over the surface. Press down gently so they stick into the yoghurt.
- Transfer to the freezer and freeze for at least 3–4 hours, or until completely solid.
- Once frozen, lift out the bark and break into pieces. Store in a freezer-safe container and enjoy straight from the freezer.
Notes
- Add chopped nuts, a swirl of peanut butter, or a few chocolate chips for extra flavour and texture.
- Use dairy-free yoghurt to make it vegan.
- You can use frozen berries straight from the freezer — no need to defrost first.
