Ninja Foodi 15-in-1 Sandwich Loaf Recipe

This white loaf recipe made in the Ninja Foodi using the steam bread function is perfect for sandwiches and toast.

It’s cooked in a pullman bread tin with a lid on, giving it the flat top and straight edges.

What You Need

A pullman loaf tin with a lid. I used this one from Amazon.

pullman bread loaf tin with lid on

I originally followed the same recipe from the Ninja 15-in-1 book that came in the box. I have made it before, (you can see it here), but I didn’t use a tin to cook it in, so the shape was a round white bread. This recipe worked out really well and so I thought I would use a similar one for the pullman tin.

I’ve made the loaf three times this week and each time the end result was a little better. The following ingredients and method is from my third time making it.

If you would prefer a more concise recipe and to print it out please head down to the recipe card at the bottom of this post.

  • 500g strong white plain flour
  • 7g instant yeast
  • 270ml luke warm water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2.5 tbsp olive oil

Side note: if you don’t have a Ninja Foodi 15-in-1 you can still make this bread! You can prove it in a warm place (airing cupboard?) and bake it in an oven or air fryer (if the basket is big enough).

Making It

In a large mixing bowl combine the flour, yeast, 270ml luke warm water, salt, sugar and olive oil.

Knead until a smooth dough forms. If the dough feels sticky to the touch, add extra flour, 1 tsp at a time. Shape the dough into a ball.

Add dough to Ninja Foodi bowl (on some baking paper do it doesn’t stick) and PROVE at 35°C for 60 minutes. The dough should roughly double in size.

Remove from bowl and knock back.

Add 250ml water to the pot and the trivet rack for the bread tin to sit on so that it’s not in the water.

Put the dough in Pullman tin with lid on and prove at 35°C for a further 50 minutes with the lid on. The dough rose to within about 1cm of the top of the tin.

Select STEAM BREAD, temperature 180°C and set time to 20 minutes.

At the end of the cooking time carefully remove the tin from the pot – you will need to use oven gloves.

Carefully slide the loaf out of the tin and leave it to cool down on a wire rack before slicing.

If you don’t intend to eat it right away, store it in a bread bin or my preferred way, a plastic lined bread bag.

An earlier attempt at this bread, stored in a plastic lined bread linen bag

If you don’t think you are going to eat it all within a few days, slice it up and store it in the freezer. I got about 15 medium thickness slices.

Love this bread. Always comes out perfect. Have been making it since purchasing my Ninja, but only a round one. Will be get the tin with a lid for easier cutting and freezing.

Thanks Liana.
