Making It

I followed the instructions exactly as they came (you can find the recipe booklet here).

Mixed Flour yeast and salt with olive oil

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, yeast, 300ml lukewarm water, salt, and olive oil.

partially mixed dough

Knead until a smooth dough forms. If necessary, add extra flour, ½ tablespoon at a time.

Shape the dough into a ball.

Cut baking parchment in a circle to fit and line the bottom of the Cook & Crisp™ basket. Transfer the dough to the Cook & Crisp™ basket. Place in pot.

Risen dough in Crisp basket

Close lid. Move the slider to the AIR FRY/HOB position. Select PROVE, set temperature to 35°C and set time to 60 minutes. Press START/STOP to begin the first rise. When the rise is complete, remove the Cook & Crisp™ basket.

dough deflated

Add 250ml water to the pot. Deflate the dough by gently pressing on it, then reshape it into a ball. Transfer the dough back to the Cook & Crisp™ basket, then place the Cook & Crisp™ basket in the pot. Close the lid.

dough after second rising

Select PROVE, set temp to 35°C and set time to 50 minutes. Press START/STOP to begin the second rise. After 50 minutes, check the dough to make sure it has doubled in size.

Once complete, close the lid and move slider to the COMBI-STEAM position. Select STEAM BREAD, set temperature to 180°C and set time to 20 minutes. Select START/STOP to begin cooking (the display will show PRE for approximately 15 minutes as it steams, then the timer will start counting down).

When cooking is complete, the surface of the bread will be crusty and brown. Carefully remove the Cook & Crisp™ basket from the pot. Allow the bread to cool for about 30 minutes before slicing.

Note: The bottom of the bread was a little damp when I took it out. At first, it worried me as I thought it would end up soggy, but after leaving it to cool on a wire rack, it had completely dried out, and the texture was perfect.

My Verdict

2 slices of white bread on chopping board with Ninja Foodi 15 in 1

Making it was straightforward, although when you’re used to making bread in a bread maker, this obviously has many more steps and involvement to achieve the same result.

The instructions were good, easy to follow, and everything made sense!

And the bread itself? It was really very good. The taste and the texture were perfect; it was a light and airy bread.

Hi liana, where did you get the yeast from please as there are lots of different versions to buy, I also have the 15 in 1 & would love to have a go at making the bread, I’ve made the carrot cake in it from the recipe book up to now & made beef stew & dumplings also did the roast beef & roast potato recipe using the probe but switched to manual as it wasn’t to my liking but other than that I love my new toy 😋

I think it was probably Tesco or Sainsburys. They are the individual sachets, so either a store brand version or something like Allinson's. Glad to hear you're enjoying the Ninja Foodi 15-in-1 🥰
