Air Fryer Padrón Peppers Recipe

What You Need

padron peppers, salt, oil, brush and air fryer basket
  • 100g – 200g of Padrón peppers
  • 1-2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
  • Coarse sea salt (to taste)
  • Optional: a squeeze of fresh lemon juice

Making It

Prepare the Peppers

Wash the Padrón peppers thoroughly and pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel.

In a mixing bowl, toss the peppers with the olive oil, ensuring they are evenly coated. Sprinkle some salt on top.

Air Fry the Peppers

Place the oiled Padrón peppers in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may need to cook them in batches to avoid overcrowding.

Cook the peppers at 200°C (400°F) for 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking. The peppers are ready when they are blistered and slightly charred.

Season and Serve

Transfer the cooked Padrón peppers to a serving plate. For an extra touch of flavour, you can add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice over the top.

Serve immediately while they are hot!
