Air Fryer Pizza Frittata

If you’re a fan of pizza flavours but want something a little lighter and higher in protein, this Air Fryer Pizza Frittata is a great recipe to try.

Made with eggs, mozzarella, pepperoni and tomatoes, it has all the flavours of a classic pizza but in an easy-to-make frittata. It’s perfect for breakfast, lunch, a light dinner, or even meal prep.

The air fryer cooks the eggs quickly while keeping the frittata light and fluffy, and the extra mozzarella on top gives it that irresistible pizza-style finish.

ingredients laid out and labelled for pizza frittata

To make this pizza frittata you’ll need eggs, mozzarella, pepperoni, cherry tomatoes, dried oregano, salt and black pepper. You can also add a little passata for an extra pizza-style flavour.

You’ll also need a small round ovenproof tin that fits comfortably inside your air fryer basket.

How To Make It

Start by preheating your air fryer at 180°C and lightly greasing a small baking tin, I used a few squirts of olive oil spray.

Whisk the eggs together with the seasoning before stirring in the mozzarella, pepperoni, tomatoes, oregano and passata if using.

Pour the mixture into the prepared tin and air fry until the eggs are almost set, this should take arounf 8 to 10 minutes.

Scatter the remaining mozzarella over the top and return it to the air fryer for a minute or two until the cheese has melted and is bubbling.

Leave the frittata to rest briefly before slicing and serving.

Variations

This recipe is easy to adapt depending on your favourite pizza toppings.

  • Swap the pepperoni for cooked ham, chicken or turkey pepperoni.
  • Add finely diced peppers, mushrooms or red onion.
  • Use a mixture of mozzarella and cheddar for extra flavour.
  • Add a pinch of chilli flakes for a little heat.
  • For a vegetarian version, simply leave out the pepperoni and add extra vegetables.

Storage

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.

The frittata can be enjoyed cold straight from the fridge or reheated in the air fryer for a few minutes until warmed through.
