I cooked them in a silicone baking tray that I bought directly from Ninja Kitchen. I ended up cooking them in a Cosori air fryer, but they can be cooked in any air fryer that your baking tray fits into.

You could also use individual silicone or metal tins.

Cooking The Egg Bites

Preparing egg bites for the air fryer is simple.

Start by whisking the eggs, milk and seasoning together.

whisking eggs

Pour the whisked egg mixture directly into the silicone moulds. There is no need to grease the slicone baking moulds, if you are using a metal tin you may want to spread a little oil or butter over them.

If you are adding cooked bacon or ham, add a few bits to each one. If you are also adding chopped peppers or onions, you can also add them now. You can push the ingredients down but they will probably sink into the egg mixture.

Sprinkle the grated cheese over the top of each egg bite.

Air fry at 180°C/360°F for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the egg mixture has completely set and the cheese has turned a golden brown.

Carefully remove the silicone tray from the air fryer – use oven gloves – and leave to stand for a few minutes before removing the egg bites, they should easily slip out.
