Christmas dinner wouldn’t be the same without some pigs in blankets. They are easy enough to make in the oven, but what if you’ve run out of space?
Cooking pigs in blankets in an air fryer is quick and easy, whether you are assembling your own or cooking some prepared ones.
🛒 What You Need
Sausages
The best sausage variety to use is either cocktail sausages or chipolatas. Allow two to three cocktail sausages per person or one to two chipolatas.
Bacon
Use rashers of streaky bacon cut in half lengthways. Allow one or two halves of a rasher per chipolata sausage and one half per cocktail sausage.
👩🍳 Preparing Pigs In Blankets
There aren’t many steps to making pigs in blankets, even if you make your own from scratch.
After you have cut the bacon rashers in half lengthways, wrap around each sausage so that the sausage is covered. You may need to use two halves for longer chipolata sausages.

👩🍳 Cooking Pigs In Blankets In An Air Fryer
This works for any air fryer, but depending on the size of your model, you may need to adjust the number of sausages you can cook at once.
Transfer the prepared pigs in blankets to the air fryer basket. Make sure there is space between each one so they can cook on all sides.
Set the air fryer off at 180°C. For chipolatas, cook for 15 to 18 minutes, checking on them at 10 minutes. For cocktail sausages, cook for around 8 minutes, checking on them at around the 5-minute mark.
Cook until the sausages are lightly browned, and the bacon is crispy.
