Who doesn’t love a plate of cheesy, crispy, fully loaded fries? With an air fryer, you can get golden, crispy fries with melted cheese and delicious toppings in no time.
You can customise the toppings however you like, making it the perfect snack or side dish for any occasion.

What You Need
The quantities below are enough to serve 4 people, depending on whether you are having the loaded fries as snack or as part of a main meal. Feel free to adjust as you need. I cooked them in a Cosori Dual Air Fryer (which I am currently reviewing) but they can be cooked in any air fryer.

How to Make Air Fryer Loaded Fries
Making these cheesy, crispy loaded fries in the air fryer couldn’t be easier! Here’s how to do it:
Step 1: Cook the Fries
Start by adding the frozen fries into the air fryer basket and set it to 180°C and cook for around 15 minutes, giving them a shake halfway through so they crisp up evenly. Keep an eye on them—cooking times can vary depending on your air fryer, the cut of the chip, as well as how many you have in the basket, so once they start turning golden, you’re good to go to the next step.

Step 2: Load Them Up!
Sprinkle your grated cheese evenly over the hot fries, making sure you spread the cheese about. If you’re adding bacon, scatter that on top too (I fry mine separately before adding).

Step 3: Melt the Cheese
Pop the fries back into the air fryer and cook for another 5 minutes—just long enough for the cheese to turn gooey (and irresistible.)

Step 4: Serve & Enjoy!
Let them cool for a minute (if you can wait!), then pile on your favourite extras—jalapeños for heat, spring onions for freshness, or a drizzle of BBQ sauce. Grab a fork (or just dive in with your hands) and enjoy!

I hope you enjoyed this recipe, let me know in the comments if you end up making it.
