🛒 What You Need

This recipe requires very few ingredients, making it a quick and easy to prepare air fryer meal.

Ingredients

ingredients for honey mustard chicken thighs: 4 on the bone skin on chicken thighs, mustard, honey, seasonings (paprika, garlic and onion granules)
  • 4 x chicken thighs, on the bone, skin on (or as many chicken thighs as you need)
  • 2 tbsp honey (or you can use maple syrup)
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Seasonings (see below)

Seasonings

You can just add a little pinch of salt and pepper, or you could add some extra seasoning. I used 1/2 tsp each of garlic granules, onion powder and smoked paprika.

You can also skip the honey and mustard and just add your favourite chicken seasonings like I did in this air fryer chicken thighs recipe.

👩‍🍳 Making It

Step 1

Mix together the olive oil, honey and mustard. Also, stir in any seasonings you are including. If you are not using paprika like I did, the colour of your marinade won’t be as red!

Step 2

Brush the above marinade over the chicken thighs. Leave the chicken to marinate for at least 30 minutes if you have time.

Step 3

Transfer the chicken thighs to your air fryer basket. Set the air fryer temperature to 200°C and the timer to 20 minutes.

Turn the chicken thighs over at around the 10 minute mark. At the end of the 20 minutes, check the chicken thighs are cooked all the way through. If you have a meat thermometer, it should read 75°C.

The skin should also be browned and crispy.
