What You Need

Below is a quick overview of what you’ll need. Scroll down to the recipe card for the full ingredient list and exact measurements.

ingredients laid out and labelled for making carrot and celery soup in a soup maker: carrots, celery, onion, garlic, stock, cumin, turmeric and ginger
  • Onion
  • Garlic
  • Carrots
  • Celery
  • Ground cumin
  • Ground turmeric
  • Ground ginger
  • Vegetable stock
  • Salt and black pepper

How to Make It

Start by roughly chopping the onion, carrots and celery. There’s no need to be too precise, the soup maker will blend everything smooth at the end.

Add the chopped vegetables to your soup maker jug along with the crushed garlic. If you are using a Ninja soup maker you can use the chop function to chop up the onions and garlic. Sprinkle in the cumin, turmeric and ginger, then pour in the vegetable stock.

Select the smooth soup function and let the soup maker run its full cycle. It will cook and blend everything automatically.

Once the cycle has finished, lift the lid carefully and check the consistency. If you prefer a thinner soup, simply stir in a little extra hot water or stock until it’s just how you like it.

Taste and season with salt and black pepper as needed before serving.
